Note: Installer does not yet run on Hackintoshes (both Intel and AMD), one has to install on a real Mac or VM and then transfer the installation. Latest nightly of OpenCore is ready for Big Sur now. Also, it looks like Catalina 10.15.5 cannot read APFS format of Big Sur, you cannot restore the image to a single volume from Catalina. So, I brought my Mac OS X installer to the library which using Intel processor. At the library, I can install my Mac OS X. The problem is, how can I install Mac OS X on AMD (at my own computer which using Windows 7)? This is against Apple's Mac OS X License - you are only allowed to install OS X on Apple hardware. 2 days ago AMD's Ryzen 5000 desktop CPUs will be launching on November 5. The 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen 9 5950X, will retail for $799 (around £620, AU$1,100), while the 12-core, 24-thread AMD. My original plan was to build an AMD system and i guess i will not go down the intel road. As it is the way it is, i will have to create a dual-boot Ryzentosh. Apart from the fact that i just prefer the mac OS i've neither built a computer nor creating a hackintosh. For the first time in AMD hackintosh history, AMD patches for macOS were released the same day as the OS. This is purely down to Algrey utilizing the Mask kernel patching feature offered by OpenCore. Below you'll find the updated patches which allow a smooth upgrade to macOS Catalina. OpenCore Patches.
