Will not connect to internet
When users want to connect to a Wi-F network, they can't get the network signal to the laptop.

Incorrect program settings
Some operating systems will have an Energy Management driver installed. Often times, these drivers become faulty or out-of-date. If possible, go to 'Programs and Features' and uninstall this. You can download new, up-to-date drivers from the Lenovo support page (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/download...? ).
Faulty Wi-Fi card
In some cases the Wi-Fi card itself might be the issue. The U310 model of the Lenovo Ideapad is especially well-known for their defective Wi-Fi cards. In this case, replacing the Wi-Fi card would be beneficial. In other cases, the Wi-Fi card may not be connected properly to the laptop, requiring a checking and cleaning of the connectors.
Disconnected router
Make sure the router is properly connected to a power outlet and turned on. If the router is not running, connecting to a Wi-Fi network is not possible. After you have done this, try connecting to the internet again.
Battery won't hold charge
Sometimes when the laptop is powered off, you can't charge it.
Incorrect program settings
In some cases, program settings for the battery are wrong, such as the Energy Management program, preventing proper usage. When the user changes the program settings to the correct format, the laptop may charge.
Computer encounters blue screen
Sometimes upon startup or operation, you encounter the screen turning blue and displaying different error codes.
Corrupt driver
In some cases, users have experienced the blue screen, or 'Blue Screen of Death' as others like to call it. This could possibly be a corrupt or out of date driver. The blue screen will typically display the problem, though it can be difficult to read. Fortunately, there are websites such as 'WhoCrashed' that analyze the source of the crash and will tell you what driver needs to be updated.
Failing hard drive
The hard drive could also be the issue in experiencing the blue screen. Other indicators that it might be a failing hard drive would be the blue screen appearing accompanied by extremely long load times, missing files, and cryptic error messages. If it is a failing hard drive, the best solution would be to replace it.
Insufficient RAM
In certain cases, the blue screen could be the result of insufficient or faulty RAM storage. Overworking your computer's memory can lead to the crashing of individual programs, or even a complete system crash. A possible solution would be to check the amount of memory being used at the time and make sure that it is not exceeding the amount your RAM is able to handle. Replacing the RAM would be another solution.
Dim screen
When you are using the computer, you encounter the screen looking more dim than usual, not putting out the correct amount of light making it hard to see.
Incorrect resolution
In some cases, incorrect resolution settings can cause the screen to dim. To fix this issue, search for the Control Panel on your device, click on Display, then Adjust Resolution, and adjust the settings to those appropriate for your device.
Faulty driver
An outdated driver can cause your screen to become dim as well. A solution to this problem would be to update your device to the most current software and drivers.
Dead Pixels
If the screen has dead pixels, an accumulation of which can contribute to the deterioration of overall picture luminosity and quality, the only solution is to replace the screen itself.
